Imagining Another World is a creative writing course focused on one thing: helping writers generate ideas and think differently about their work. Rather than teaching the mechanics of writing, this session is designed to inspire, provoke, and unlock new creative directions. Through a series of imaginative writing games, prompts, and playful challenges, you’ll explore techniques that encourage original thinking and help stories take shape. The course introduces practical ways to: Generate ideas quickly and creatively Map and develop story concepts Maintain interest and momentum for the reader Experiment across genres, forms, and styles We’ll also discuss how modern tools, including AI and how it can support the creative process when used thoughtfully, as an editor or creative partner rather than a shortcut. But in terms of ethical use, we don't advocate using AI to create stories for you. Whether you’re an experienced writer looking to refresh your approach, or someone curious about developing ideas and experimenting with form, Imagining Another World offers a supportive, creative space to explore what your writing could become.

Professional Qualifications

I have been writing fiction since a young age. My work has been published in many anthologies from writing groups and as a regular competition winner​/​honourable mention for the previously published Darker Times book series. I have also received an honourable mention from the Bucks Mills Poetry Magazine for my poetry.
